What Should I Do If There Are Many Flying Insects in The Litter Box

Jun 13, 2025

1. Clean the litter box. While replacing cat litter in a timely manner, regularly clean the litter box to keep it dry and clean, and reduce the environment for small flying insects to breed. It is recommended to use a cleaning solution specifically designed for cleaning cat litter boxes.
2. Replace cat litter. The cat litter in the litter box can easily breed bacteria if used for too long. Replacing the litter with a new one can effectively prevent the occurrence of small flying insects.
3. Apply vinegar. After cleaning the litter box, you can apply vinegar to the inner wall of the litter box. The acidity of vinegar can effectively inhibit the reproduction of small flying insects.
4. Use yellow adhesive paper. Cut the yellow adhesive paper into small pieces and stick it next to the litter box or tropical fruits, attracting small flying insects to fly onto the adhesive paper and stick it on.
5. Clean the soil in the flowerpot. Flower pot soil is also a breeding ground for small flying insects. Timely cleaning and drying of flower pot soil can effectively prevent the occurrence of small flying insects.
